The nursing program in the United States can benefit you both intellectually and financially. There are programs to accommodate your knowledge of the nursing profession and your knowledge of the English language.
If you already possess a diploma from a nursing program in your own country, you can contact Educational World and we’ll create a program for you with the next steps that you need to take. If you have perfect knowledge of the English language (including TOEFL test results), you can come to the United States and you will have to take a nursing test – NCLEX. This test has to be taken by all nurses that want to practice nursing in the United States. The books to study for the test can be sent to you to study in your own country, or you can come here and study before taking the test. After the test is passed, you receive a license as an American nurse and will be able to work in the United States as a nurse. If your knowledge of English is not that good, we will create a program for you to study English together with your nursing test. After you are comfortable with both English and the NCLEX test, you will be able to take both the TOEFL and the NCLEX.
If you do not have a degree from a nursing program in your own country, you can contact Educational World and we will find you a college to study nursing. The knowledge of English does not matter here because you will be learning it as you go through your college program. The college program will take approximately 2-3 years, depending on the college and on your level of English knowledge. At the end of your college program and when you graduate, you will be able to take the NCLEX and certify as an American Nurse. The cost here would be $11,000 to $13,000 for tuition, room and board for one academic year.

There are vacancies in the hospitals and they are willing to take foreign nurses, as long as they hold an American license. Hospitals will often have their attorneys apply for green cards for their foreign nurses. The salaries for nurses in the United States range from $35,000-$45,000 per year.
